I have decided that I hate Twitter now. Why is it that every new series that comes to Netflix is ruined by spoilers?
You, Season 3 (2021)
Squid Games (2021)
Clickbait (2021)
The Circle, Season 3 (2021)
Like seriously, every damn series. I know the ending before I get through the first episode.
I will say I do enjoy binging series more, with my BOYFRIEND? Friend-boy? Boy that is friend? Friend that is man? Man-friend? Big daddy? I don't know whatever you would like to call him and whatever he likes to be called. To my friend-group he is known as Thanos. That is my T.V. partner!
By the time I drop this post, let me say firstly, Happy Halloween, Happy Fall, and who's looking forward to Thanksgiving?
Am I the only person who loves fall? From the neutral weather, flannels, warm candle scents, burning leave smell, the beautiful assortment of leaves, the time change, and chunky sweaters paired with a cute boot (Uggs included). I just love this cozy time of year.
This is also the time of the year where, I get in my bag with going to the gym because I just can't stand working out during the summer. So I am definitely ready to get snatched for my birthday in December.
So per my last review of The Way of the Househusband, (2021). I feel like I gave it a very fair review with not having a lot of material to work with.
My overall conclusion of the first 8-episodes or Part 1 of Season 1:
"Overall the series was cute and funny. I really loved it. I did not like the fact that it was only five 15 minute episodes. It was like receiving a teaser per chapter rather than a full experienced episode. I would say I was able to watch it four times last night (May 24, 2021) when I came home from work. It was also announced that the current installment on Netflix is only part 1 of 2, so the series will be completed sometime between this year or next year. Hopefully we can be blessed with 20 minute episodes at least or just an hour long special."
We still did not receive that hour long special. But at least we got the completion of the first season.
The dynamics have not changed much between the married couple but in the 6th episode we do see Miku's aggressive side when Tatsu was not able to briefly stand up for himself. Which was unexpected, based on his initial demeanor.
Now the fact that Tatsu is treating boba tea as a high class drug similar to cocaine, just warms my heart because a matcha green tea boba is definitely that serious for me. In a perfect work, I would have one at least three times a day if not more.
Then followed by Tatsu's shenanigans, with quizzing household trinkets like an apple slicer. I find this hilarious and potentially relatable because I know Thanos, is not aware of many household thing-a-ma-bobs, unless he is at my place and I put him on game.
In all, I absolutely love this series still. There is not much to rate it on because it is a comedy with short episodes. But it is definitely funny and a good watch to pass the time.
I do however plan to watch the live-action, The Ingenuity of the Househusband (2021). But just as warning there are 10 episodes that range from 3 to 6 minutes maximum.
